The invisible cloak or trinkety trinkets?
Alas my fellow druids, you will need your cat ability to become nearly invisble. But the cloaks ingame are quite usefull in your endeavours to become the best geared druid on the server.
Some cloaks for pre-raid:
Subterranean Waterfall Shroud – Highest spirit on a blue!
Shroud of Moorabi – More intellect and spellpower then the cloak above.
Reanimator’s Cloak – This cloak will bring you the most spellpower, if you put a nice Runed Scarlet Ruby in.
Some cloaks from raids:
Dark Shroud of the Scourge – apart from the hit rating, its a good cloak (Noth the Plaguebringer in Naxxramas normal).
Shawl of the Old Maid (drops from multiple bosses in Naxxramas heroic) or Disguise of the Kumiho (can be bought for 25 Emblem of Valor) depends if you want crit or haste!
Cape of the Unworthy Wizard – Best cloak in game at the moment, you’ll have to spank Kel’Thuzad in heroic mode though.
For trinkets there are some interesting choices to make. Here’s a list:
The Egg of Mortal Essence or Embrace of the Spider – a very good trinket with lots of spellpower and the haste procs quite often (obtainable respectively for 25 emblems of heroism or Maexxna in Naxxramas normal).
Illustration of the Dragon Soul – 260 spellpowerrrrrrrrrrr! Sartharion Heroic.
Forethought Talisman – lots of spellpower and a nice helper with hotties. It drops from multiple bosses in Naxxramas heroic.
Majestic Dragon Figurine – this will give you 180 extra spirit in 10 casts. Which means about 27 spellpower and a lot of mana per 5 seconds (how much depends on your stats). It is a powerful trinket, but you could miss some spellpower. Drops from Sartharion in normal mode.
Je’Tze’s Bell – This is one awesome trinket, but its a world drop and bind on pick up. So if you get it you are a lucky druid!
For the alchemists around:
Mercurial Alchemist Stone or Redeemer’s Alchemist Stone - it will buff your mana potions nicely and they have nice spellpower. Use only when you have mana problems.
I won’t tell you which trinket to use, it depends on the task at hand. If you can’t keep up your healing targets get more spellpower, run out of mana get the spirit or mana per 5 secs trinkets.

Missed off 2 Crafted Cloaks.
1. Deathchill Cloak – http://www.wowhead.com/?item=41610
Very nice stats for an easy cloak to get.
2. Wispcloak – http://www.wowhead.com/?item=41609
Again nice stats with some mana regen sitting there nicely.
The Egg and Embrace are unlikely to be the best use of trinkets for you unless you have dropped talent points in GotEM due to the cap on haste that the global cooldown provides, the GCD cannot drop below 1 second so anything that will shorten your spells past a 1s cast (maybe a touch more to allow for latency) are wasted haste points.
The bell is awesome, I’ve been lucky enough to have it drop in heroic Drak’Tharon for me, and the good news is that after the next patch it will be BoE for any new drops meaning it will soon find itself onto the AH at ridiculous prices!
My advice… Go for the Bell and the Majestic Dragon, then watch as the rest of the healers go oom and you get credited with keeping the MT up on your guild first kills.
Believe me, you won’t really need those trinkets in naxx/coa. You will go oom on some encounters, if its fast you’re doing something wrong
If healed correctly its no problem with mana!
The second cloak is a nice one, but I can’t see the benefit of the first. spellpower>spirit>intellect I know, it has high spellpower, but lacks other stats. Crit/Haste only becomes important when you sorted the other 3 out.
I would like to give an honerable mention to one other trinket…I have no idea how to link it so I’ll type the thing out.
Soul Preserver
Equip…increases spellpower by 75
Equip…your healing spells have a chance to make your next heal cast within 15 sec cost 800 less mana.
This trinket has a good amount of spell power on it, and the proc is even triggered by ticks of healing from your HoTs. The nicest part of it is that you can get it well before 80 since it drops out of the chest at the end of completing normal Strat.
Just thought I’d toss this one in the mix.
Agreed the first cloak is more orientated towards caster dps however at such a cheap price (<600g on my server) and so easy to get i thought it was worth a mention.
I’m stacking SP on most of my kit now, so to offset the mana regen that i’ve lost, or intend to lose i’m going to test out those trinks with the mana restore meta gem, it might not work well but it’s worth checking it out to see what it runs like, wont take me much to re-gem and put different kit back on to revert back to stacking more spirit / mp5.
I liked the soul preserver but i dont find it fits in well with my healing, it procs just before i’m about to renew a lifebloom stack, at which point i’m saving 800 mana on a spell that only costs 200ish. Imo that makes it only situationally useful where you might be spamming a larger cost heal.
I think you might be right, decided to change my plan to include the Darkmoon card: Greatness – http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44253
And go for the spirit option, double whammy, mana regen and spell power increase in ToL form, which i’m in pretty much all the time.
But by the gods it’s expensive!
I think you mean this one http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44254 or this one http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44255 . A tree doesn’t need agility
. Yep those are great, although not tested.
Most ppl seem to go with the intellect one though.
Indeed, lunch break quick lookup via google seeing as wowhead is blocked from work !
[...] at Druid Heal! had compiled a list of pre-Naxx and raiding cloaks as well as trinket options for Resto Tree Druids. He also has a pretty extensive and update Resto Druid Mega [...]
What about http://thottbot.com/i42988 for a trinket. I don’t have it yet but seems like it would be handy for some extra mana every 5 minutes too.
Or http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42988 rather(let’s see if that makes it link)
