Quick Post: Tier 9 bonus

It seems that our T9 set bonuses will be all about crit:

2 set bonus: Increases the critical strike chance of your Nourish spell by 5%
4 set bonus: Your Rejuvenation spell now has a chance for its healing to be critical strikes.

Critting HOTS!!!! I think I will have to delve deeply into crit to see if I can put these set bonuses to work. The attributes like spellpower, spirit and intellect are plenty on these sets (tier 7.5 is still very good) so I see it as a logical step of Blizzard to include either crit or haste.

What do you think of the set bonus? Is it crap? Or awesome?

Critting HoTs? This is something we dreamed of… while I’m going to be wary of letting go of my 4-pc T8 bonus (insta-rejuv-heal) over this nourish T9 2-pc, I am really looking forward to having my rejuvs crittable!

  • Blackjj says:

Well, when T8 arrived, I waited until I had the 4 pieces to put it on, since i loved the Nourrish bonus. I think i’ll do the same for T9, since I love the instant heal with rejuv :D

By the way, I find that this time the 2-pc bonus can be very interesting, compared to the previous ones.

Its crap!! A critical tick in hot is usually “overheal” unless your target has low health.

    ¿¿5%crit nourish??WTF

I prefer instant reju bonus from tier 7.5 and 10% bonus healing in swiftmend.

  • Raaff says:

Well Nourish seems to benefit a lot from crit. I is becoming our best “big” heal. I am not judging it untill I have it.

BTW: its tier 8 that has that bonus :)

  • IzK says:

Crap. Crit has no place for reliable healing, especially for something as slow as rejuv. I suspect it will look amazing on the overhealing charts, but if someone is dying Im not going to rejuv and pray it may crit.

As for the 2pc bonus, Nourish is almost as useless as Healing Touch unless you are a tank healer or running instances. Useless for raids.

I never seen such demovitational armor sets. If they changed it to something more useful like Wild Growth critting and 5% crit for regrowth then I would be ecstatic. But these bonuses are total garbage.

    Wow…

I am impressed on some very hmmm odd comments you guys made…

Crit hots = overheal? Well, if you are a raid healer, know the fights, you should be tossing rejuvs prior to an ae event and i can see the crit hottings helping a lot there.

Nourish almost as useless as HT? Since Ulduar and now CC if you aren’t using nourish you are not doing your job properly, steady ae damage like Naxx is no more, now it is ae damage with spikes on random people and hots by themselves won’t cut it. Regrowth is to slow to be reliable for high end raids, try casting a regrowth on someone hit by a fire bomb on heroic cc and tell me if you saved that person in time, 1.2 seconds (without NG proc, 1 sec with) nourish hitting for 10k crit is priceless.

Anywayyy, on the topic. I made the switch to tier 9 yesterday, going to CC25 tonight, i believe both set bonuses will prove to be must haves. That and the great increase to overall stats.
